Currently Reading - Whitney My Love

I am such a die hard romantic, I believe in fairy tales,Prince Charming on a white horse and happily ever afters. One of the most romantic books I've ever read and now def one I will re read again and again is Whitney My Love which was recommended by the lovely Purplelyna on her blog. I knew I def had to read it if she was recommending it. I love period romance and Gone with The Wind is still my fave movie ever.

The book tells the story of Whitney Stone and Clayton Westermorland and their trails and tribulations. Judith McNaught is such a good storyteller as I laughed,sighed,gasped and cried a lot (even on the train) when I read this book. I would love to see a movie made as it will go on to be an epic like Gone with the wind with the right cast and script. If period romance or romance in general is your thing you should def read this book. Its a perfect read for now as its Febuary the month of Valentine and all things love.

Currently Reading - Beastly and Kissed By An Angel

I haven't done a currently reading for a while but I have read a lot of books in the past couple of weeks so its only right that I should share. I'm so lucky when it comes to books as I have read some really good books lately, thanks to Amazon readers reviews and my good book instincts.

Beastly by Alex Flinn

I liked this book as it is a mordern day take on Beauty and The Beast set in high school. It was a very enjoyable read and I'm excited about the movie which is out in July,def one to watch in the summer.

Kissed By An Angel by Elizabeth Chandler

One of the cutest love stories I have read this year so far, it was a very good read,with loads of different emotions and twists that I wasn't expecting.

Men In Pants

One of the things I enjoy about my job as a Merchandiser for mens underwear is that I get the pleasure of talking about mens underwear in a professional manner without getting funny looks, this week I had to do a presentation in front of the whole company imagine me trying to keep a straight face while holding up a pair of mens red thongs. I also like the added bonus of a male underwear model at buying appointments.

The biggest players in the male underwear market at the moment are Calvin Klein and Armani and I'm loving their choice of man hotness to promote their new ranges. Got the scoop on both months ago but finally everyone gets to see the images. So here's a lil taster of why I love and enjoy my job.

ME ME ME Update

I have been so busy the past couple of weeks so not been updating my blog as often as I would have loved to. It's buying season so I have been mega busy seeing brands and suppliers. It's also busier than other buying seasons for me as its my first one in my new job. It's been nice catching up with everyone as I only get to see most of them twice a year.

Apart from work I have been trying to organise my anual get aways but not been putting as much effort in as I should, arghhh I need to get cracking as I need my anual sun and shopping get away. So far I have narrowed my destinations for the year to 4 places,thats if I dont't change my mind again.

• Dubai to see friends and family,shop till I drop,enjoy the sun and have a blast.
• New York to eat and shop and eat some more.I've been inspired by the lovely fashionista  District H
• Italy or Germany or Croatia for a long weekend get away with the girls.
• Miami for Christmas and New year, don't fancy another cold dark winter in the London.

 The next couple of weeks will be busy as we finalise AW10 and then it will start again in a couple of months for SS11 arghhh scary but true. I'll be updating my blog regulary and tweeting a lot more.

Beauty-Mascara

I found it hard to find the perfect mascara so I decided to try as many as possible till I find the ones that I like based on how long they last in the day, if they give me longer lashes and the quality of the product and all the usual things one looks for in any product,so far I actually like them all as depending on what shade,look I go for I use a different one.
 My must haves thou are

• Dior Show Iconic
• Givenchy Phenomen Eyes Mascara , love the spiral brush head as it coats every lash, you have to try it to believe it.
• Dior Show Blackout perfect for smoky eyes
• YSL Volume Effect Faux Clis one of the best I have used, its give a false lash effect and you can see the difference to your lashes when applied.

Evans SS10 Preview

I was really excited when I saw the press shots for Evans SS10 collection. These are my faves from the collection and I hope to have them swinging in my closet as soon as they hit the store/web.

  

From the preview shots this jacket is my ultimate must have. I can wear it with anything and everything.
